    Job Description:    DDL OMNI’s Simulation and Services Division, in support of the SSDS MK2 program office to provide services to meet Integrated Logistics Support requirements has an opening for a SSDS Logistics Clerk in Virginia Beach VA




    Specific Functional Area Duties include:

    Assist the SSDS Material Manager and Item Manager in Material Management of OM&S for NAVSEA

    PEO IWS10. These functions include processing of OM&S material, Enterprise Resource Planning

    (ERP) transactions, re-warehousing, assisting with spot check inventories, and physical movement of

    OM&S material.

    • Provide processing, verification, ERP marking/labeling, packaging, shipping and receiving

    services for material being transferred between NSWC DD DNA, ships, other government

    activities, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and contractor facilities.

    • Create and maintain serial number tracking of inventory.
    • Assemble, validate/verify, configure, test, store, package, and/or label electronic assemblies and/or kits

    in support of pickup and/or delivery of INCO/Spares, hardware kits or other material requests from the

    fleet, shore sites, ILS team, Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) team, and Alteration Installation Teams.

    • Perform operability test on electronic modules or assemblies to validate/verify condition. Modify

    electronic components, modules or assemblies as required and perform post-modification checkout/test

    to ensure operational verification. Perform periodic charging of batteries to ensure full charge is

    maintained. Develop and/or review technical documentation (e.g., processes/procedures, test

    plans/procedures, configuration procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, etc.) in support of material

    management and OM&S tasking.

    • Prepare ADHOC Reports as needed by SSDS Material Manager and Item Manager.
    • Facilitate, attend and participate in meetings, working groups, etc. in support of material
    • management and O&MS tasking

    Education Required:  Required H.S. Diploma or GED.

    Required Qualifications and Experience:   Familiar with US Navy supply procedures, procurement, shipping receiving. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Share Point and MS Outlook other software/tools. Capable of performing operability tests on electronic modules as necessary.
