    DDL OMNI Engineering, a rapidly growing DoD Engineering company, is seeking a full-time Electronics Technician/Field Engineer to provide technical support at the AN/BQH-9(V) Signal Data Recording Set (SDRS) In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) site located at the Carderock Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCCD) in West Bethesda, MD. Successful candidate will perform tasks required to support ISEA activities.  Tasks typically performed in this position include the following:


    • Configuring and testing computer assemblies including multi-disk RAID arrays and networks within the SDRS.
    • Executing Linux (CentOS) scripts to document SDRS configurations.
    • Installing upgrades to SDRS assemblies and systems using installation and checkout procedures or engineering drawings.
    • Troubleshooting and repair of SDRSs.
    • Performance acceptance testing for SDRSs after repair or upgrade.
    • Updating SDRS software to latest versions including programming firmware on circuit cards.
    • Fiber optic cable troubleshooting and repairs.
    • Occasionally, tasks may be performed onboard submarines, small support surface vessels and may include travel within the U.S.A. and overseas.



    Qualified candidates must hold an active secret security clearance. Qualified candidates must have an active US Passport.


    Education: ASET or US Navy or other military schools in Electronics or Sonar. Knowledge or experience in US Navy submarine sonar or other US Navy submarine or surface electronics systems is desirable, but not required.


    Skills: Ability to perform the tasks described in the Job Description.  Must be capable of working closely with professionals from other companies and government representatives.  Work with minimum supervision at ISEA and at facilities located at other companies and onboard submarine dockside.  Be able to setup test instrumentation and collect and report collected data.  Must have an excellent work ethic and be capable of clearly communicating with fleet, engineering and management personnel.
