    Responsibilities

     

    Job Description

     

    Designs, develops, customizes, integrates and maintains applications in support of Towed Array test and performance applications for all Fleet operational, production level and developmental towed arrays in accordance with the requirements of NAVSEA PMS4011, NSWCCD, and Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport (NUWC Newport).  Essential functions include:

    • Design, re-design and develop software and systems
    • Lead software system integration
    • Design and code to approved requirements documentation
    • Lead and support testing efforts to ensure quality standards are met
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to programmers/developers
    • Oversee production of deliverables

     

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience Required: 

    • A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in computer science or a related field; and
    • Ten years of experience in developing and implementing complex software and acoustic data acquisition, recording and testing systems to include: real time acoustic data acquisition processing and analysis and Information Assurance (IA) standards implementation.

    Desired qualifications include:

    • Five or more years of experience with real time data acquisition and analysis of acoustic data from surface ships and submarines; command and control and information management systems; and secure, real time data transmission.            

     

    Qualified candidates must have the ability to acquire and maintain a security clearance which requires US Citizenship.
