DDL OMNI is seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to supplement its design team in the Norwich, CT office to perform computations and modeling and simulation of new designs and facilitating changes to existing designs. This will include reviewing drawings for accuracy and compliance with applicable submarine requirements. The candidate must be able to work in close cooperation with engineers, scientists, technicians and other professional specialists and government sponsors. Supervision of Designer/Drafters is required. Proficiency in ANSYS, 3D Modeling, MathCAD or equivalent, and Microsoft products Xcel, PowerPoint and Project is required.
Qualified candidates must have the ability to acquire and maintain a security clearance which requires US Citizenship.
Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience and Skills required: 7 years professional experience in Mechanical Engineering.
