  • Job Description

    DDL OMNI’s Engineering Services Division is seeking a Field Engineer II to perform a wide range of complex activities to test, troubleshoot, install, calibrate, repair or modify electronic equipment and systems. The Field Engineer II will conduct laboratory and shipboard installations on submarines; conduct ship checks for equipment installation and coordinate with design personnel, perform copper and fiber connector assembly and installation of ShipAlts and TempAlts on submarines. The Field Engineer II may be required to obtain Cyber Security S+ Certification.  The position works with minimal supervision.





    Qualified candidates must have the ability to acquire and maintain a security clearance which requires US Citizenship.


    Education Required:

    Associates Degree in technical discipline and 5 years’ experience, or military certification school and 10 years’ experience; equivalent experience in lieu of a degree is two years’ experience for one year of college.


    Experience and Skills Required:

    Conduct installation of TempAlts, OpAlts and ShipAlts on submarines. Draft Memorandums of Agreement (MOA), Work Authorization forms (WAF) and Controlled Work Packages (CWP).  Submarine Radioman experience preferred.
